Seachem Matrix Bio Media we use this in all 5 of our HOB filters. I've heard there are better options and I've heard this is a great option. It seems to work as we have no issues with our tanks cycle and stability. We also like the look of it as a "substrate" for our plants that grow in the filters We are linking it because we use it, do research decide what's best for your aquarium.
