Setting up a resurrection jar is a crucial part of having a Father Fish style aquarium, as well as just being an awesome experiment. Go to your local creek, lake, pond, river and bring a jar or container. Fill it up with water, add some wet leaf muck and a couple small sticks, cover it with something breathable and let it sit. Check back and see what life your jar has grown, doing this allows you to also make sure you aren't adding unwanted pests to your tank and only critters you do want. Presoaking leaves in your jar before transferring to your tank will help you to collect micro fauna for your aquarium.
